Among the non-Western cultures that first followed the nations of Europe and North America in industrializing, Japan stands out as teh most successful. In what ways did Japan adhere to the pattern of industrialization set by the West, and in what ways did Jpaan depart from it? How was Japan's industrializing experiece similar to that of the west and how was it different?

is this basically saying make a venn diagram comparing japan and britain?

No, well yeah that would be a good addition but they want you to explain the ways that japan followed the pattern of industrialization set by the west and in which way did it drift away from it. And what did Japan and the west have in common in terms of industrialization and what did they definattely not have in common. Have they not gave you a minimum/maximum word limit?

i think they want a comparison between japan and britain. so yeah, a venn diagram maybe? i dunno.
