The 40GB PS3 is the same in terms of graphical capability to the 80GB PS3 and everything else except for no backwards compatibility, a fewer USB slots, and no Digital Camera Memory Card Slots. The 40GB PS3 does come with WiFi.

The 40GB PS3 wouldn't have worser graphics just because it is cheaper, Sony would never do that.

the 40gb ps3 is the stripped down version (like the core 360)
it has no memory card slots and a few usb ports.
