Take the device back to the chemists.
Add some oil to the food - should work a treat. and if it doesn't then take her to the vet. I have seen this done with a GSD and believe me you do not want to be in the same room.
Personally I'd be suspicious of the neighbour who's probably going to get a real kick out of imagining you giving your cat an enema and will probably be checking you for injuries next time you meet !

I don ;t think you should be doing this. Buy some miralex and you can put 1/4 tablespoon in the food or some senekot and give 1/4 tab 2x daily
None of this addresses why your cat has this problem. The reason most likely is the food you are feeding
Nutrition since there are so many bad things out there is very important to your cat’s health
Contrary to what you may have heard; dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat.
Please read the label on what you are feeding? What are the ingredients? Do you know what they mean?
http://www.catinfo.org/#Learn_How_To_Read_a_Pet_Food_Ingredient_Label
Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.i’s and a host of other problems. Food allergies are very common when feeding dry foods. Rashes, scabs behind the tail and on the chin are all symptoms
The problems associated with Dry food is that they are loaded with carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process them. Also, Most of the moisture a cat needs is suppose to be in the food but in
Dry, 95% of it is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Another thing, most use horrible ingredients and don't use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive.
You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn't have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all. Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. Also, dry food is not proven to be better for teeth. Does a hard pretzel clean your teeth or do pieces of it get stuck? http://www.felinefuture.com/nutrition/bpo_ch4a.php

The vet is the only one to give an enema, there's no water used, they use a chemical specifically made for cats and it's not to be done by the cat owner.
I had one cat who needed to after she hadn't pooped in 4 days, the X-ray showed her intestine stretched in a straight line up to her heart, the intestine close to bursting. She was given the suppository and it all came out in 20 minutes. Poop everywhere which was a good thing I had her confined in the bathroom for that. I had to make sure all 12" had come out, call the vet back and update them.

heat water bubble tub? My cats? No. Me? sure PLEASE. =) Haha, nicely i'm uncertain completely. it may purely be a accident. it relatively is obtainable that once giving him the hormone, it greater advantageous his interest. You by no skill comprehend! My 7 month previous cat is an identical way. he's of suitable wellness, purely a splash guy. once I wash his upstairs nutrients and water bowls out, I do it interior the bathing room sink with my break of day dish cleansing soap, and warm water. He likes to observe that, yet then would not incredibly care with regard to the water afterwards. yet once I come out of the bathe, and there is cleansing soap bubbles and heat water left in there, he's carefully infatuated with it. quickly as I open the curtain, there he's, insisting that i'm getting out precise away so he can roll around interior the tub till now the bubbles pop and the water is going away. i've got tried to discern it out. i think of the clarification why he prefers the tub to the sink is by using heady scent. perchance my dish cleansing soap or hand cleansing soap is purely too citrus-y for his liking, and my shampoo/physique wash/and so on could be greater beautiful. As to why the bubbles & heat water iself lures them? I incredibly have not the slightest clue. P.S. I actually adore the call Hubble! that's what i wanted to call my own cat, (yet wasn't allowed to possess cats at that factor because of the fact mom confident me i became into "allergic",) yet I had gotten a fish first, so his call his Hubble. =)

If you haven't taken your cat to the vet, that is the place to start. IF an enema is what is needed, they will show you how to properly do it and you can do it after that if needed. You should never experiment with stuff like this if you've never done it before.

It should just be warm, not hot. Heat it in the micro if you have too, shake it really well and then squirt a little on your wrist. If it feels hot, its too hot and could cause damage to your cat. When my cat gets constipated, I give him a baby laxative that is inserted in his rectum. I don't do enemas.
