I alwys get them but can get rid of them by drnkin heaps of water.. however in the last two days I am in pain on both sides of my lower tummy and it especially hurts when I go to the toilet (urinate) however i do not have the symptoms of a urine infection..any ideas??

Untreated UTI's do not cause infertility in women. They DO cause kidney infections, however, which are no fun at all.
Some STD's such as gonorrhea and chlamydia can cause infertility - maybe this is what you're thinking of?

it can go into your kidney and cause serious problems. Take cranberry pills.
