I have a Playstation 3 and I think that the Playstation Network is great. There are game trailers, demos, downloadable games, and more.
Of course there isn't like 50 demos to download because the Playstation 3 hasn't even been out a year yet and it will take time for more stuff to be added. Plus, new stuff is added to the Playstation network weekly.
The Pros: there are great demos, downloadable games, videos, and game trailers to download
The Cons: there isn't a whole lot to choose from

I bought a PS3 and been playing online ever since I got it. The Playstation network is pretty good, every Thursday there's new content published for download, either in the way of game trailers, movie trailers, blu-ray trailers, demos, wallpapers, demoes, add-on packs, or downloadable games. Not a whole lot out there yet, but it's building. As far as playing online, it's good, no lag issue, 32 person multiplayer on Warhawk and no lag, there was some issues early on with that game with stats and joining games that should have been open but when you tried to join, it wouldn't let you, most of those issues have since been resolved.
Resistance online again no-lag. I did notice a little bit of lag in Rainbow 6: Vegas online once or twice, but that could have actually been my fault since I also had a big download going at the same time on my PC.
One of the best things about it, it's FREE.

there is not lots of a distinction between the Xbox 360 and the PS3 different than the PS3 has some added perks. The PS3 has blu-ray applications, bigger portraits applications, and unfastened online (it is all I have been given out of it that wasn't already on the Xbox). additionally, i like PSN's marketplace slightly extra helpful than the Xbox's, yet it is with the help of the fact it deals with funds rather of MS factors. some cons is which you will possibly want a severe res television to play it, and it has very undesirable online servers, enormously in some struggling with video games. additionally, updates are detrimental on the PS3. an straightforward replace on an Xbox can take approximately 3 minutes on the main modern, the place the PS3 takes approximately 20-half-hour for straightforward game updates, and console updates are even worse. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, I stick via my Xbox 360, specifically because of the fact i've got faith like i'm getting a extra helpful adventure. Ever considering the fact that Microsoft began freeing apps, the PS3 began to sense slightly shallow to me. Plus the Xbox controllers have a extra helpful sense to me than PS3 controllers.

I would never purchase any game console. They're way too over priced.
I do have a playstation 3 but I didn't pay for it. I used one of those freebie sites.

It's Awesome
Pros:
It's free!
32 Resistance multiplayer with little or no lag
No 10 year olds with foul mouths
Cons:
Chatting online is hard (like synching a bluetooth headset to your cell) , but don't like chatting while i play anyway
Playing with the people you meet online take a bit of work(3 button presses as opposed to 1)
