The homosexual person who vowed to remain celibate. I have been through the other situation and it's not good at all.

We all have the potential for sin. I'd choose neither of the above and continue looking for a minister who is strongly committed to his wife.

I'm sure I have met, been ministered-to "by" and have served with both of the "kinds" of ministers that you have described.
Thanks be to God that the Holy Sacraments are from God and not dependent on the spiritual "condition" of the "minister"....otherwise...all would be lost and invalid. We are all sinners saved by grace. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

My opinion on this is..........
No such thing as the first example, the two don't go together because that is an abomination. Anyone can be saved by calling on God and accepting Him as their Savior

I would rather neither one, and for the record, a preacher doesn't lead me, the Word of God does and if I don't feel a kindred spirit with a pastor, I am outta there.

NEITHER are acceptable as a Christian elder.
The True Christian Congregation today is based EXACTLY on the First Century Christian Congregation.
Jesus also said, "Do not call anyone among you 'father,' for your Father is in the Heavens. Neither call anyone 'rabbi'. " Jesus is our Teacher, and Jesus' Father is Jehovah God Almighty.

They both have their potential to fall back into sin. I'd pick the one I get along with better/the one God leads me to choose.

sounds to me like one of them is still habitually sinning, and one isn't anymore i would rather have the one that has stopped and been forgiven for his sins.

I WOULD RATHER HAVE A RELIGION IN WHICH SEXUALITY DID NOT MATTER AT ALL.
