Anyone know where I can get those spacey cages that have holes in places for the tubes to be put into? My hamster is a Syrian hamster, and I just don't want him to be bored all day when I am at school =\
Thanks if you reply =]
Below is a link to my picture/s of the cage, and my hamster Spice

Lol, well, I don't know which answer is the best, so help me out like? =P

Honestly the best cage for a hamster is a 10 gallon aquarium/screen lid with a little box for a house and a wheel on which to run. It's the easiest to clean thoroughly, hardest for them to escape (provided you don't stack toys up next to the glass for them to crawl out on), and least messy interim.
I have bred hamsters (had over 30 in my lifetime), as well as worked at a Petco as a small animals manager. I have had every cage imaginable: aquarium, wire, plastic with tubes, combo (wire on top of aquarium, plastic and wire, wire with tubes, etc.), and believe me, the aquarium beats out all else.
You can clean it thoroughly and quickly (those tubes take forever to wash and pick out the crap that gets crusted in them, the wire rusts and gets icky, and those intricate plastic cages that look like a blast truly only impress you--the human--and are hard to scrub clean because the urine quickly crystalizes to it, etc.), with a screen top, they nevet get out (hamsters are masters of escape, and they got out of every other kind), and it is also the CHEAPEST option! (I can't believe how much some of those plastic ones cost! One I bought cost $75!)
I know people love the cool colors, the fun tracks made with the tunnels, and all the "toys,"etc. But, remember, this little guy does NOT have your intellect (or anywhere near it), and is seriously happy to eat, run on a wheel for a bit, and sleep most of the time. The rest is just fun for you (except when it comes time to CLEAN all of the pieces).

i have the Freddy 2 cage from Pets at Home for my hamster. it doesn't have the holes for tubes that you are after but it is a very spacious cage (i think pets at home suggest using it for ferrets but its way too small for that - but perfect for a hamster). it comes with one platform but i brought another so there are 2 platforms. i have a tube network running from the platforms to the bottom of the cage. as it is so big you can put in climbing frames and ladders and stuff (like they sell for parrots) in the base of my cage i have a cat litter tray full of sand (hammies love to dig in sand) and lots of toys. on one platform is my hamsters house that he sleeps in and his toilet and on the other i keep his food and water. he loves it! it is quite pricey (about £60 i think) but well worth it when you see how much fun your hamster can have in it and it will last for ages - also, as it is made for ferrets it is very secure!

Your hamster is soooo cute!
I know the cages you mean, I've seen them in Pets at Home, also if you look in the paper people often sell them off, at jumble sales etc, it could mean you get a bigger cage for your money, I bought all but one of my hamster cages this way.

Pets At Home or ask in a local pet shop - {ask for either Rotastack or Habitrail - these are the ones you are looking for :)} Even if they dont have them they may be able to order one in for you. They are quite expensive though.
Love those cages, my Syrians love them too :)

He is so sweet :-)
As for the cages I got my daughters cages from Wilkos a small one and then connected via the tubes to a larger one from jolleys, but any good pet store will have them.
