Besides respiratory depression, an overdose of Xanax can also cause depression of heart rate and blood pressure, all of which could lead to coma and death. You would most likely not even be conscious when your respiration stops.

xanax is a benzodiazepine and as such you most certainly can overdose on it, and yes it will kill you if the overdose is large enough. Not a pleasant way to go either, you suffocate, because it depresses the respiratory drive.

do not hurt yourself, im serious here. you will cause your family great grief and you would regret it. i almost did once, and i am so grateful to be here and am glad i didn't. you should keep striving and know that you are an important person, and that you should really get help and listen. im begging you here, do not hurt yourself
