Depending on the age, height, and weight of your mother, that can be anything from constipation, to a muscle strain, to something more severe. Err on the side of caution, and make an appointment to see the doctor, especially since the pain and bloating feeling has not gone away.

Could be her gall bladder (might have a gall stone). That bloats you, and can hurt. She might also have her appendix evaluated. Could also be an ulcer, but don't accept that opinion too easily - it's a cheap excuse to do nothing sometimes (I know they told me twice I had an ulcer and it turned out I had cancer! Doing fine now!)

Get her to see a doc. She could have any number of issues including a fluid-filled lobe in her lung. The lung has no 'pain-sensing' nerves, but the lining (pleura) does.... repeat: see a doc.

I had that once and it turned out to be extra cartilidge growing. A simple (but expensive, if private care) scan can can confirm or rule out but she really should see a dr, lives are too precious to take risks with.

She should go see a gastroenterologist. That's right it could be her gallbladder which usually happens on the right side. My gallbladder symptoms were on the left and I had to have mine removed.
