I joined a company recently, and I think I screwed up, though I know that I have the right in this
at first I was sitting on the wrong place where I don't have a direct contact with my colleagues who are working on the same account with me.. so I asked the manager o replace me next to them in order to make work easier.. so he agreed and went out with me to show me my new place as it was an empty desk ... but guess that caused jealousy.. the receptionist girl said that she kinda "reserved" that place before me and that the boss told her she will sit on that too!! I was surprised and she talked to the administrator officer and he said the same thing too !! I was completely shocked.. so the admin. officer called me the next morning tellin me to hold until we sit again with the boss to discuss the matter.! but I didn't listen to him, explained to him politely the situation.. but I think that made him angry not listening to him and went to my manager and gave the wrong impression about me

Did you screw up bigtime? Yes. You where asked to let it sit for a day in order to get things straightened out. Instead you made a fuss and argued the point. As a newbie this was extremely wrong in that you are giving the impression that you know better than those in a position above you, and have no patience to get a situation resolved. So now you have an instant reputation of being uncooperative, demanding, not a team player, think you know better than those in charge, not able to follow direction, stubborn, and insubordinate, and or a spoiled problem employee, with a bad attitude. Unless you rectify this situation (means apologies) I would suspect you will not be there for long, as you view you're views and opinions as to what is right above those of management, and do not have the patience to work on a reasonable solution. Sorry to say with that attitude had I been the Admin officer I would have already spoken with the manager (he most likely had) and you would be gone., wrong impression? No Uncooperative employee? Yes.

I hope English is a 2nd language for you because if it's not than I'd recommend that you be fired. You don't have the right to override the administrator just because your manager directed that you sit in a particular place. You were directly disrespectful of the administrator and that's not the way to go. It's far better to have removed yourself from that seat and gone back to your manager to tell him/her what had happened/resulted when you tried to sit there. Let management deal with the issue...It's not your problem/issue to deal with. Now I'd apologize to the admin for making a big deal over the seat and ask if it'd be okay for the three of you: your manager, the admin, and yourself to meet and discuss better seating for you. PEACE!

At this point I would not do anything and let it sit for a day or so.... see how things settle... giving it a day gives everyone time to readjust to the situation that occurred...
