Did you print them on your home computer and printer or did you bring them to a place like Kinko's? If you brought them to Kinko's how did it work out? How would you recommend I have print these? I have about 45-50 to print.

We are using FedEx kincos for are invitations and for black and white it is about 10 to 20 cents to have them to print out. But you need the info burned to disk . Not a memory card ( they don't have memory readers.) Al so if you have a unusual font you need to burn that to disk also. we just found that out.If you wanted to print out address label's. If you don't want a address label then i would go with a hand written envelopes. Good luck

I'm doing my own. But then again I have the most wonderfull maid of honor to help me! We're making everything from scratch. I havent come up with a design I'm in love with yet but I know Im not paying $350 or something on peices of paper! Thank you cards can be bought plain/wholesale and such so those are the cheaper parts. I like the look you picked out for the invites and I love that picture idea too!!! Im really into photography so that's an awesome idea! You have to put a little of your own personality into it anyway so make it your own...it'll take a little longer and it may cause a bit more stress but it's going to cost you half of what you'd pay to have someone else print it for you. Good luck!!!

I would say as long as you have a nice printer that you should go ahead and print your invitations at home by yourself. It will save you money in the long run. And no one will notice a difference if you had them printed at Kinkos or at your home. The awful truth about invitations is that people are going to end up throwing them in the trash anyway. You just need to make sure that they look good.

I had my invitations xerox copied at a local copy shop. If you are going to use a copy shop I would not go to Kinkos. The service usually sux at chain stores like that so you end up endangering your paper. keep in mind, If they mess up then all of your paper is ruined.
But for an invitation kit like you have I would just print them at home so long as you don't mind using up your ink.
There is detailed instructions on how to printonto these at this webiste:

We did a little of both. We designed them on our computer but I printed them at work and took them to Kinko's to cut. Our invitations had chocolate brown cardstock on the bottom and ivory paper with all the wedding info on top of that, tied together with a blue ribbon. Blunt is right about the printer. Your printer needs to be in its top shape so you won't risk any mess ups. That's why I didn't use our printer. We tried to use it for our placecards, and they looked horrible.

I used a wedding invite kit as well and printed the invitations, reception card and envelopes all at home. They turned out really nice. I even printed wedding announcements for relatives far away with a photo on it with the left over invites. All turned out really well.

That isn't too many to do yourself--as long as you have a good quality printer.

My recommendation:
Clean your printer first, and put in new ink cartridges. This way, you will eliminate those ugly little random marks that sometimes appear when you print at home.

You may want to print 1 in "BEST" and 1 in "NORMAL" mode, and see how it turns out....sometimes there isn't much of a difference in appearance, but NORMAL will save you some ink and prevents spotting from drying ink.

Watch over it as it prints! Remove the invites one at a time and keep them separately...at least for a few minutes....It makes sure the ink has enough time to dry (so not to smear)

My husband and his father printed our invitations at home on card stock. They turned out beautifully.
But there was one tiny little problem - the guys forgot to put the time of the wedding on the invite! OH! I had to write in 2:00pm on every one.

So here are my two suggestions - PROOFREAD before you print! Second, write the addresses by hand on the envelopes because it's a nice personal touch. I'm sure that a friend with nice penmanship would be happy to help you.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I took my to a local printer. They are not as busy as Kinko's and can give you more personalized service and ideas. I had about 125 printed out. Check in your yellow pages.

I printed them on my home computer. They turned out great!

As far as addresses are concerned, I imprinted the return address with the computer but I hand printed all of the individual addresses. I just feel it made them more personable that way.
