Well i find that unlikely that the computer deleted those restore points. If they were set up correctly, your pc devotes a certain amount of disc space and resources to have those restore points, so minus some freak glitch should remain there unless you went in and disabled system restore

without that there is no way to go back to a certain point with restore now, your best bet is to do a clean build be reintstalling windows and formatting your hard drive... do you know how to do t hat?

Hi. You would not have been able to go get back 2 years anyway. The file space is set to a 12% value and will only hold a finite number of points. Best bet now is to set your computer up the way you want it, then create a restore point for the future.

You may be able to delete programs that came with the computer and have the accompanying dics. Once removed see if that frees up memory. Also, delete temp files. If these don't work you may need to take it in and that can be tricky too.

Do you still have your Windows restore disks? I do restores like this a couple of times a year. If you don't have one for your computer, you can purchase them.
