Its funny how you people spin my questions around to fit your agenda. Okay so NO, Einstein did not have a religion, BUT HE DID BELIEVE IN GOD. I did not say Christianity, I did not say Muslim, I said he believed in God. Nothing more, okay so he was a pantheist, or a deist, whatever. THAT STILL SAYS HE BELIEVED IN A HIGHER BEING.

However you all, or specifically atheists, try to somehow justify why I’m still wrong. Most of you never answered my question, you just tried to spin in order to justify your own disbelief. Both Hawking and Einstein, and yes PEOPLE Hawking does believe in a higher being (Gosh your so arrogant and close minded) . I DID NOT SAY RELIGION, a God, nothing more nothing less. So no matter what atheists, as much as you try to say science and other means prove no God, the greatest minds that ever walked this earth believe in something greater than them. Why do you deny such a possibility?

Alanagke - clearly a lack of wisdom..
but also clearly the Atheist's foundation - would have to be.

Eleventy - clearly UNTRUE. You write about pantheism and you don't know what it is by your context. It is beliefs in many gods - that is atheism? Maybe you think other uniformed like big words?

Atheist doesn't believe in any supernatural and mythical characters. He needs a scientifically proof to do so. He doesn't believe in any ritual and celebrating any festivals. They are not aligned to any religion. Most of the atheists are bound to be critical of their strange practices practiced in their religion which they were previously in. He doesn't believe that going to any place of worship will make him a good person. He believe in karma that is doing a job and being a good person. This tendency also emerged in America and still there is. The Govt is running a propaganda against these atheists. Hypocrite Corrupt Tamizh Nad politicians minus Anbazhagan believe that religion should be separate from governance. That's why you see many of the rallies they don't speak about religion that much as BJP does. That is adding a bit of socialism. When people were opposing the setu samudram project Even Karunanithi said once earlier that Ram and Sita were brothers and sisters and If Ram created Setu Bridge then show me the certificate of Engineering of Ram or birth certificate of Ram. You know when these people will be a normal human being without any political power their tunes will change I bet you. As I said Hypocrite earlier that would answer Vettri Kondaan. (I don't say that atheistism is Bad but once you choose it you have no right to hurt those who practice religion. That's it)

The capital G always refers to the Abrahamic deity. The practice began when the Christian Bishop Ulfilas made his Gothic translation of the Bible. So, by definition, since neither of these men believe in a personal deity, they do not believe in God.

Neither man sees/saw any reason to suppose a personality behind the workings of the universe. If you can accept such an impersonal definition of "god", then we have only a semantic argument.

A nuclear blast is, in a sense, greater than I, it is simply not worthy of worship. An impersonal source of the universe may be worthy, but with no personality to accept the praise, what's the use? I still do not see anywhere insightful you could possibly go with this line of questioning.

Hawking and Einstein present detailed evidence for everything they had to offer.

Einstein did NOT believe in a personal god. He was quite clear on that. A pantheist is just someone who acknowledges that there may be some unifying force out there in the universe. He called it a god so that he could relate to your small mind.

Here's the reason why your questions are inherently flawed. Atheists don't say that science proves god doesn't exist. What we say is that there is absolutely no evidence to say that god does exist, and that it would be illogical to believe in god without any evidence. The fact that some intelligent people, even scientists, believe in god does not alter this in any way.

They don't necessarily believe in a God. They believe(d) in a force. Einstein specifically said he didn't believe in a personal God.

As men of science the both understood that there are forces greater then us. You can observe that in Nature.

That's all. I think you're reading into it too much/comparing it with your own beliefs when it's really quite different.

*sighs* Knock it off. Stop this "high and mighty" crap. You're only making yourself look bad. I don't care whether Einstein believed in a god or not. Unlike you bloody religious, it does not matter one bit to me. He didn't try to make the rest of us live by his belief, now did he? He dealt with the facts.

How about you? You trying for a superiority complex? Or just to annoy people?

Because other that you, who has to have something to follow, I can think for myself. I don't follow any crowd or person. I don't need a "higher being" to justify my life or anything good or bad in it. I'm very sorry that you feel the need to constantly justify your god or your beliefs by pointing out others beliefs in "something greater".

Einstein believed the universe itself was god. He doesn't even imply a consciousness to it.

Hawking only uses the term "god" metaphorically and doesn't believe in a literal one at all.

Read their damn books. It isn't that hard to tell if you read it in context.

Einstein was an agnostic and Hawking is a Deist...so what? I do not define myself as an atheist by what others believe.

"It was a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal god and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly." this is a quote from Albert Einstein. If you do not believe me look it up for yourself.
