today I got two traffic tickets one was going the wrong way on a one way street and the second was failure to yeild while intering the intersection. I was wondering if there was any good way of proving your are not guilty. especially on the failure to stop one becuse i did stop.

The second citation was failure to yield, not, failure to stop. You do not have a defense.

Go to court and plead not guilty. Bring in your pictures. Sometimes an obscured sign is an affirmative defense. It's possible the judge might reduce the crime but, since the traffic courts seem to be all about money these days instead of safety and justice, It is not likely that you'll get off scott free. All you can do is try. If the tickets you got were given at the same time, it was probably to ensure that at least one charge would stick. That's how the police do things these days -- especially to U.S. Citizens. They trump up as many charges as they can to ensure that they get some part of a conviction.

Failure to yield does not mean you stopped or didn't stop. It means that afterwards, traffic was in the intersection and you ignored it and entered the intersection. You MAY get away with the one-way violation.

Many people think that "STOP" means "slightly tap on pedal" and roooollll through stop signs.

If you rolled...and did not stop ALL forward motion of the vehicle....pay the fine.

Wrong way on a one way...if your powers of observation are clouded enough not to go the wrong way...I'd suspect you failed to stop also.

Go to court and see if the court will agree to let you plead guilty to the wrong way and drop the failure to stop!

You may just get a break!

You might get a pass on the one way with evidence that the sign wasn't visible; however, there's no way to prove that you stopped.

no, but it sounds like with the picture of the sign you'll be able to fight the one way ticket but for the stop sign then you'll probably have to pay...good luck!
