If my child were pregnant and did not want to carry the child to term, is there a network of anti-abortion activists who would voulunteer to surrogate this child? My daughter doesn't want it, but far be it for me to keep it from loving adopptive parents as long as you are willing to carry it. You dont' have to keep it - you could give it up for adoption if you wanted.

Just wondering.

Not a matter of what *I* want... does the pregnant girl want it is the issue.

NOTE: THis *is* a hypothetical. I don't even have a daughter. But thank you for taking the question seriously.

For those who are quick to Judge: Carrying to term is the issue here... The biological mom isn't interested in going through the trauma of giving birth. That's her choice.

It isn't merely a question of finding adoptive parents, is it? And it isn't asking for damnation or opinions of character either. Though I doubt the possible success of fetal transplant, that is the question.

Who can help out here ? Who will carry this fetus to term? Who has the knowledge to perform a difficult medical procedure and who will take the risk ?

I would hope that there was some way that she would carry it to full term and then give it up for adoption, because I know what it is like to have an abortion and if your daughter has any kind of a heart, she will always wonder and think of the what if's of it all...atleast if she gave it up for adoption, she could have an open adoption, to one day may be able to see and know the child...if she aborts, that chance won't happen! I will be praying for your situation!

you can't move the fetus from your daughter to another surrogate mother. The technology isn't there yet.
Your daughter needs to either carry the child full term, or abort it. If she decides to carry it, it can then be put up for adoption.

If she's white and drug free- this would be no problem.

why don't you teach your daughter that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

honestly, I would not withhold an abortive procedure from a victim of rape or incest. in the US, there are THOUSANDSof such cases, yet there are MILLIONS of abortions. If people create children, they should raise them. My wife and I raised ours. But even if I were a woman, it would not be my responsibility to carry the child your daughter created.

The exact numbers and a percentile breakdown can be reviewed at the websites for RAINN and CDC.

Don't think it would be possible. Once the fertilized egg is implanted in the uterus I don't believe it can be removed and implanted in someone else. A surrogate mother is impregnated using another woman's fertilized egg, but the egg is fertilized outside of the woman's body and it is then implanted into her uterus. It is not implanted in another woman's uterus and then removed and re-implanted in another's. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way.

Like anyone would actually do something like that. I would just be happy if the people who want to dump more kids into a failing system would step up and become a foster parent. Then I might have more regard for their opinion.

Absolutely. I would without a doubt have someone else's child transplanted into me if that would mean saving the child's life. No question.

even if she was willing to adopt, she has to go through morning sickness, labor, vaginal ripping, post pardom depression etc....not worth it. just be glad we live in a thinking nation where roe v wade happened. be glad we have laws based on legislation, not religion. have an abortion.

They are too selfish and self-consumed to really help.

That's why all areas of life MUST BE convenient!
