You should be able to to find it in your local supermarkets. Either pre-grated fresh in the refridgerated section, near the fresh pasta and other cheeses, often sold in small plastic tubs or plastic bags. Or in plastic cylindrical containers, with shaker tops in the pasta sauce and dried pasta sections. They no longer pack the cheese in cardboard tubs. Perhaps you're looking too hard for the familiar packaging you're used to, and therefore keep missing the product, which is actually, in fact "right there".
Your local branch of Tesco, Sainsbury, Waitrose, or Marks and Spencer's should all carry it.
And by the way... I'm an American. I currently live in California. But I spent a few years living in The United Kingdom and go back every couple years. I DO know where Northants is! Northants is short for Northamptonshire, which is in Central England.

You're kidding, right?
I don't know what "Northants" is, but there's typically Kraft and one other name brand, plus two brands of no-name grated Parmesan cheese in every supermarket I've shopped in, for the last 40 years.
And most of them are all dried out, and tasteless, like sawdust.
Get a block and grate it yourself, and you'll discover what Parmesan cheese is *supposed* to taste like.

you find the good parmasan cheese - grated, shaved, shredded many times in the deli section of your grocery store. It is sold in small plastic tubs now.

I'm not sure where you are at but grated parmesan cheese is available in plastic zip bags by Kraft, Sargento as well as packaged store brands in the dairy section.
