Genissis 1:26-28

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the

sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping animal that

creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and

female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the

earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every

living animal that moveth upon the earth.

I really don't think God was talking to Himself here. Have you dealt with this quote before? Do you think its a pretty strange mistake in inspired verse?

There is only one GOD Almighty ,he has many sons with powers above man. The first scripture you quote uses plural terms as let US make man in OUR image after OUR likeness.
So he is not alone, and by human standards these sons are Godlike to help make mankind. but out of respect and instructions from GOD I call GOD Almighty the one and only GOD even though the one begotten son our LORD sets at his side.

there is only one god?
if there was gods instead of god then one god will be incapable of other god over some of speciality or task. or rather say they all would be fighting over the highest position.

and touchstone of theology:

1. He is one, absolute. and has power over all things
2. and no one like him, he is unique.
3. he begets not nor he is begotten.
4. and he is immortal.

no where in the bible that you will find the "trinity". come with any references.

did jesus ever said in any versions of bible that is he is god or his begotten son and worship him?

is the present bible the word of god? if yes then there are so many versions of bible with so many contradictions and many errors? if it suppose to be the god's word then it should have said or have complete solution to the humanity. why there is an need of updatation or corrections.?

if bible is the word of god then why every christian have his own version of bible? they all should follow only one bible and there should be only one bible.

do you think that you need to made changes or ammendments as the time comes to suit the needs of the people? if it needs then you are actually over ruling or correcting god's commandments with your own. then you are better than the so called GOD whose commandments needs to be upgraded as and then? what is this. brothers think and try to find out what the reality is?

The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I have watched Israel become as beautiful and pleasant as Tyre. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered." O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don't give birth and breasts that give no milk. The LORD says, "All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children." (Hosea 9:11-16 NLT)

In the end, it doesn't make sense that there is one all powerful deity. I know this is my opinion and I do respect what others believe. I think the idea of 'God' is far more complex than most of us are capable of understanding so I would have to say that I do not believe there is only one deity or higher power or whatever term people choose to use. Many blessings

Even devils believe there is one God: James 2:19
The objective is to "know" rather than to "believe".
Matthew 24:23,26... John 8:32 ... 1John 4:1.
That way you won't get deceived ever again.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I do. Your reference to Genesis actually points to the Trinity, where God the Father resides as the figure-head. This is a whopper of an area, as all three are one and yet each espouses different roles. So there is only one God.

No one knows if there is even 1 god let alone multiple gods. I am awaiting his/her true revelation (like appearing to all humans simultaneously) before I make a decision about whether there is even one.

Given that there are thousands of gods that have been created by man throughout history. All of you who only believe in ONE of them, are very close to being atheists.

You don't believe in 1000 gods.

I don't believe in 1001.
