OK, well I'm in NH, and up here we eat our apple pie with a nice slice of Vermont Sharp cheddar.

Personally I love any apple pie
but Im not sure if it can be as good or even close enough to the apple pie my friend Andrea made a couple of weeks ago

as for the cheese I had to forgo that - Im all for change but you just can't improve on greatness

Must be an Eastern tradition. I'm in Minnesota....I will definately try it the next time I make an apple pie, which is soon. Maybe I can start a trend here.

Yummy. It's commonly served that way in restaurants. My mom used to serve it with cream (not whipped) and a good extra sharp cheddar on the side.

I use a combination of Macintosh, Roma and Granny Smith. I really prefer Pippen to the Granny Smith, but can hardly ever find them where I am.

i like apple pies but cheddar cheese? I don't like cheddar cheese in general but who knows, maybe it tastes good in your pie.

I have never heard of that...I eat my apple pie with vanilla ice cream...but I am sure you way is good too.

I'd love to taste it. I personally use Gorgonzola, but tastes differ.
