All mankind is sinful, the Bible says there is none good but one, the man Christ Jesus. Is homosexuality a sin, yes and so is many other deeds committed by man. However some people get off the goal of the Bible, that Jesus died for all sins and that He loves all sinners, not the sin mind you but the sinner. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We cannot attain a relationship and forgiveness from God unless we accept His Son's payment for our sins and turn from our sins. We are still not perfect after salvation but never the less we are able then to come to God and ask forgiveness when we have done wrong.

Its a sin. Plain and simple. Though I don't think that is really the problem. The problem is that it is no worse a sin than any other. Sin is sin, nothing more to it. We put a listing of which sin was worse in order to establish rule of law throughout medievel Europe. The reality is, God looks at a Christian who is a constant liar the same as He would look at a Christian( or Non-Christian) dealing with homosexuality.

According to the bible, it is an "abomination" (not a sin) to lie with a man as you would lie with a woman - in other words it is definitely frowned on but does not automatically condemn you. And apparently lesbians get a free pass.
I wouldnt take it too seriously though as eating rabbit is also an abomination (Leviticus 11:3-6:, Deuteronomy 14:6-8:) with about the same penalty

only those of conviction can answer this question! and yes it is sin. in Leviticus 18:22 , Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable, it is abomination or wicked before God even if society today accepts this sin such practices lead to disease, deformity, disrup familys, and even death. Gods standards might not be accepted now a days but we well pay for all our actions. Paul the Apostle talks about inflamed with lust, Romans 1:26-27 please read.

To the ones that only look at a book to figure out their moral compass, yes, it is indeed a sin, even an abomination of their God. The ones that who do not think it is a sin are the more...open-minded people, and usually the ones that I like more. Now, just because it says so in a book, doesn't mean that it's right or wrong. I'm sure in other holy texts it says that you shouldn't worship or believe in any other god(s) than what that religion says, so in that religions eyes, Christians are sinners and an abomination to their God...it's rather ironic really....well, I hope this helps some....doubt it did but I can hope right?! ^_^

the bible also says its a sin to wear two different types of fabric at the same time, that it is a sin to eat shellfish... People chose the parts of the bible that seem to justify their bigotry and ignore others that they don't like. People used the bible to back up slavery and racism too but that didn't make it right.

It's in a few places. Leviticus 20 Chapter 13 is pretty clear on the subject:
KJV: If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

But- there are two commandments here. One is no gay sex. The other is that those who commit it be put to death.

So- I'd say that if you don't kill all the practicing homosexuals, you'll be burning in hell with them

it is a sin because being homosexual is a dangerous thing. I sound like some crazy old christian but if everyone in the world is homosexual then how will we produce babies and pass on the generation?
