Some (but not all) forms of New Age spirituality suggest that God is within everyone, often in the form of "the Christ consciousness". God is not something outside of us, but rather, exists inside us. The kingdom of God is within. Everything in the cosmos is interwoven and interactive, all part of each other, with everything containing the essence of the Divine.

there are so many different beliefs that would fall into the new age catagory
as a Spiritualist , we believe God to be an energy source that is perceived differently with each person
there are no hard and fast rules about who or what God is
God is what you need God to be , or what makes sense to you

That God is a universal power from which the entire universe is derived. In other words, rocks, trees, clouds, people, etc., are all part of God. This means when we hurt another, we hurt ourselves because we are all one.

It just shows that humans are really willing to make crap up to explain this or that, or because they are afraid of death. Which says a lot about God.
