I initially filled out a return but never sent it in. I was owed about $100 for a refund. Can I file 2006 and 2007 taxes at the same time in April?

Can you file them at the same time? Yes.

...but you will be filing two separate returns. You can not add the data together as many people think.

Regardless of how you file 2007, 2006 will have to be mailed in. If you mail it now, you may have it by the end of the year.

You can file them at any time. If you are owed a refund, there is no penalty for being late (other than that your refund will also be late).

Do not send them in the same envelope as your 2007 taxes. The IRS might get confused. Send them separately.

No you have to file each year separately. Send in your 2006 return now. Since you have a refund coming, there won't be any penalty for being late, and you'll get the refund.

Tax year returns must be filed separately. I suggest you file 2006 now. It is your loss if the IRS owes you money. But if you owe them, be prepared for penalties and interest.

Send your return in today. Luckily you will get your $100. Send in your taxes in on time. Most people have plenty of time to file.

Just put the return in the mail and don't worry about it. In six to eight weeks IRS will send you a check. Unless your return is audited that will be the end of it.

File now. The longer you wait, the higher the fines.
