I just received someone's address, who is in Basic, but it was sent to me over text and with the spacing being kind of funny, I wanted to make sure the format was correct, because it kind of looked like "eco" and "4th" should have been on the next line. Here's the address

PFC {Last, First MI} Eco.
1.34th Inf. Regt. 4th
Plt. Wolfpack
{City, State, Zip}

Can anyone tell me if that looks right? Thanks in advance!

I've never seen an official address that included the platoon number/nickname in it; that said, this could be a local prectice.

PFC yada yada yada
E Co./1/34
4th Platoon Wolfpack
Ft. Jackson SC

I guess they finally decided using the SSN in the address was a bad idea.

In English it means Echo Company/1st Battalion/34th Infantry Regiment. Useing Co. in the line is overkill to me. Must be using the platoon info since dropping the SSN to avoid duplicate names in the same Company.

In Old Army it's E/1/34.

But....we do what we are told to keep the DI off our butt.
