To those that wish to try to keep the ten commandments I caution you to meditate upon the following: O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Gal 3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if [it be] yet in vain.
Gal 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, [saying], In thee shall all nations be blessed.
Gal 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Gal 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:
Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Gal 3:15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though [it be] but a man's covenant, yet [if it be] confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Gal 3:17 And this I say, [that] the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
Gal 3:18 For if the inheritance [be] of the law, [it is] no more of promise: but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise.
Gal 3:19 Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Gal 3:20 Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one.
Gal 3:21 [Is] the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
I also show you a stern warning by our Lord: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
I think it is very easy to see how that many would want to try to keep the ten commandments and also that our laws of the land were founded on many of the commandments, but I would rather personally have the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ imputed to me than to put myself under the law and try to keep the ten commandments. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness [come] by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
No one that has ever lived on the face of this earth except Jesus Christ has been able to keep the ten commandments, especially after our Lord Jesus Christ expounded upon them Many have attempted to establish their own righteousness by trying to keep them, but have failed and will continue to fail because of who we are. If you can declare any man, woman,or child who even keeps the first commandment: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind., then I will throw up my hands and say Christ died in vain because we can do it. Rather foolish on my part to talk like this so I think this might be a better way: Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become [as] sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1Cr 13:2 And though I have [the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1Cr 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed [the poor], and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
1Cr 13:4 Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1Cr 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1Cr 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1Cr 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1Cr 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1Cr 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1Cr 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1Cr 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1Cr 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1Cr 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of [her] husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while [her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not [in] the oldness of the letter.
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin [was] dead.
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which [was ordained] to life, I found [to be] unto death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew [me].
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold undersin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that [it is] good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
I think if we all take a hard look at the Word of God we would not be discussing this question and stirring up strife which our
Lord by Paul the apostle to the gentiles (heathen nations) advised us not to do. But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all [men], apt to teach, patient,
2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2Ti 2:26 And [that] they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
I hope that my dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ who are taking part in answering this question will consider the affect it is having on those who have not come to the knowledge of the truth who may be taking part in this or at least looking at it. We must be very careful how we affect others.

When one is married to the law, they are bound by the law as long as they live. When a person in their sin, they are under the law (I mean that they are living under the sin, living the lifestyle of sin). But, when a person dies, the person is freed from the law; just like a marriage is a covenant with two people; they are bound by it until either party dies. When one dies to Christ, by repenting of their sins, they at once become dead to the law and become alive in Jesus Christ, as He gives them a new heart (of flesh, capable of bearing fruit before God unlike before) and is a new creature, all things are new. Once that person gets baptized (spiritually manly, demonstrated physically and publicly) they share in Christ burial and His resurrection. Thus, Christ is the end of the law (the 10 commandments) for those who believe. For it is by grace that you have been saved justified by faith, and not by works (not by keeping them) lest any man should boast; for this is by God's mercy one is saved, a gift that is given by God. Now, those who are born of God are now born of love, for God is love. Thus, one is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength (your whole being). So what shall we say then, is the law sin? I wouldn't have known what sin was except by the law; for its a schoolmaster that brings me to the foot of Christ, as to reveal my true state before God; how, then, can I live by that which tells me I'm a sinner? As a sinner, I in order for me to live, I need to die to the law; I am dead to sin, in Jesus Christ, freed from the law and justified on His behalf thanks to His work on the cross, giving me His righteousness that fulfilled the law by obeying His Father to death. He then rose with a new law, that is based solely on grace; by this, we are to show the love of God. Therefore, if you keep the law, then you will be justified by the law; that is, if you break it and stumble, the result of the law is death; the result of Christ is life eternal. So, if you want to keep the law, by all means do so and once you stumble death awaits you. If you are Christ, then you are not a law keeper because you are dead to sin, thus freed from the law, and are alive in Christ. So, love one another as He has loved us and gave Himself up for us. If someone says that they love God and then steals their wive, then you are liar. You are not born of God; if you are seeking to keep the ten commandments you are seeking to justify yourself, not before God, but before man. The law doesn't work faith; without faith, it is impossible to please God. So which is better, grace or the law? They cannot coexist. Christ nullifies the law, but keeping the law nullifies Christ; which has the means to save you? Put your faith in either; I will, no matter what, put my faith in Christ, as He is the law and the full consummation of it from the beginning; if you have Him, you have the law; that is, love. If you do not, then you nothing more than a dead corpse seeking to rot from your evil deeds. Repent from the deeds of the law and seek to be saved by Christ alone, and His Spirit shall give you new live and love for God; those who walk in the Spirit are not under the law, but grace alone.
If you keep the law, you will be judged by the law and die accordingly; if you are in Christ, then you will be judged according to grace and you will live through Him who became our sin so that we may live.
