I can speak TO them, but never WITH them because they don't talk back. What I usually say is, "You need water again? I think you drink too much." Or, sometimes it's, "If you don't stop throwing your brown leaves on the floor, there will be consequences!" Or, "don't get cocky...you were a gift and I have nothing but water invested in you." You have to be tough and warn them about the consequences of misbehavior.

You don't have to ask the plants...just taste it yourself. Go dig a hole about 5 feet deep, bury yourself in it up to your chin, tilt your head back, open your mouth, and wait a week. Then report back to us with the taste you experience.
