An old flame, whom I haven't seen him in about a year, sees me jogging down the street. He stops, we talk for awhile then he says its getting dark you shouldn't be out here. He offers to take me home which was only about a mile up the road. He knows I live with someone, but he deliberately takes the long way and kept me with him for an hour. What's up with that?

I already know the answer, I'm just wanting to get a different perspective. This guy is not a stalker, he works not far from where I live. I've know him for more than 20 years. It's really more like what Pdooma said.

Some men are gentlemen. Even if they know you're taken, he's a friend, it's dark, it was the right thing to do. Besides, maybe he's harboring a little crush but it's probably harmless.

He was just catching up with you. Maybe the flame was so high and it may have died down for a while, since you guys were apart. But seeing each other again may have sparked something in him, and he enjoyed your company and didn't want you to leave. It's always good to see an old friend right.?!

Missing someone is complex. If you two know each other greatly it could just be that he really needed you. Someone that he knows and trusts in his company for a little while. But the real question is, are there feelings there on your end? Is that why the incedent is stuck in your head?

Obviously he wanted to talk to you and catch up more. He might even be wanting to see if their is still some attraction there. Don't over analyze it anyway you said you're living with someone so you're not available. Now if you were single that'd be a different story! :o)

What did you get in the car for? If you live with someone the conversation shouldve stopped and you finish your run home. Sounds to me like he is trying to start trouble between you and your new freind.

it would seem that he wants you back in his life & wants to take care of you & see that you don't get hurt in any way shape or form. He also cares about you & that is why he took the long way to his home & kept you from your bf for an hour, he would like for you to be a part of his life once again.

He's probably still interested and wanted to catch up with you and maybe see if the feelings are still there. If it happens again I would let him know if you are in a serious relationship or something so he doesn't keep bothering you.

But maybe your still interested?

Well, besides kidnapping... :) He liked spending the time with you and is probably interested in something that your live-in bf wouldn't like very much! Watch it though.... depending on your feelings.... you could fall into something that you don't want right now!! could disrupt your living situation now!! Good luck!

Something about you is attracting him to you. Even if you are living with someone and he knows it, you are still a good catch to him.
