Sometimes, RLS is aggravated by low levels of magnesium in the blood, so taking a magnesium supplement several times a day can help. Magnesium is needed for muscles to relax - the threshold for muscle contraction is lowered by low magnesium. Remaining fully hydrated also has some slight beneficial effect.
