anyone know anything about old military hats?

We have found an old hat in the loft and dont know if it an army hat.IT is black and has a lion holding a globe with a red crown on top and i think feathers or leaves surrounding the lion.thanks for any help.

The device or shield sounds as if it is English, perhaps the British Royal Marines??

I would google military hats and search for similar images.
