I have this stray cat, she hangs out usually on my porch and I feed her and give her some milk alot. But she's pregnent, I'd take her to a Animal Shelter but they're ALWAYS full, they only have two cat spots. I'd take her inside and everything but I already have 5 cats, If I took her in they'd fight. She (the stray cat) Doesn't like other cats that much. And to make it worse, I'm moving in a week and a half, the day after Halloween. I've already found two other stray cats a home but that took 2 months, and I only have a week and a half to get someone to adopt a pregnant cat. Help.

Contact a rescue group in your area.
explain that she is pregnant, they probably don't want her to have kittens who will then make more kittens...
Take her to the Humane Society or the SPCA.
I had to convince the Humane Society by saying: "do you want that I let that pregnant cat have her babies, and then her babies will be stray cats having babies, and your "shelter" will always be full?" I said that, and they gave me an appointment right away.
INSIST, INSIST, INSIST!
good luck... I spent hours calling around for mine!

You could take her to the vet and have her spayed. It may seem cruel to spay a pregnant cat but it's not -- it's better than bringing even more wild cats into the world. Your stray sounds feral -- wild. The best thing we can do for them is feed them, trap them, spay or neuter them and release them back into the wild. Once all of the local wild cats have been spayed or neutered, the colonies will die out.

Also, please don't give cats milk. Virtually all cats are lactose intolerant and milk makes them sick. It upsets their stomachs and usually gives them diarrhea. You could give them Lactaid or cat milk from the pet store if you really want to give them milk.

Thank you for caring about the strays!

Katie

If you do not know someone who wants the cat, I think your local animal shelter is your best choice. If they are full, I am sure they will be glad to recommend an alternate location. You can try placing an ad in your local paper, but I have not had much luck with that myself.

If you can't take her in then your only choice is the shelter. Call more than one, look for shelters in surrounding towns. You could just stop in and say you found her, she's pregnant and she needs help. They should find a way to accommodate her. Good Luck and Bless you for caring!

As you can see from the responces, there are many cat lovers out here. All of our cats were rescued. Take them to the shelter. They'll be fine.

Giving her kitten chow would be better than milk, she'd get more nutrition for the kittens that way.

Call several vets and ask if they know of any cat rescue groups in your area. They may take her in for you.

I know you may not like this, but unless you live near me, I live in Washington, you may just have to let her go on being a stray cat. :-(
