Has anyone been prescribed any medication which effectively helps back pain and debilitating spasms. I get dihydrocodeine and diazepam, but would like to know of any pain killers which can help muscle spasms too as diazepam prevents you from being able to drive.

I take Diazepam and I drive, not a problem. I am also on Fentanyl patches 80% stronger than morphiene and drive. However I do not drink whatsoever. You do not state what dosage of Diazepam you are on? They started me on 5mgs and I did not get out of bed for the following day, out for the count. However I cut it down but still felt sleepy. Then I started by breaking the pill in half and took it every other day until my body got used to it and no problem whatsoever.
