You are better off getting kitten milk just for cats or milk that is just for nursing or sick cats.. Some cats can tolerate a little milk but most get diarrhea from cows milk. Water is best if the kitten is fully weaned. I had a kitten who was weaned to soon and I bought a kitten bottle and kitten formula and nursed her and we were so bonded because I went ahead and let her nurse until she was 12 weeks old or more. Her Mother was run over by a car and when we found the kittens we guessed them to be about 4 weeks old. She lived to a ripe old age.

I would suggest not using regular milk...yes, cats love it, but its really not good for them and most of the time kittens and cats get upset stomachs from milk
Places like Petsmart and even Walmart have "cat milk"... its almost like formula for kittens and cats. They love it just as much as regular milk but its easier for them to digest. It usually comes in a little juice-box looking thing... and you dont have to give the kitten the whole thing at one time... usually I keep mine in the refridgerator and it can last a week or so... its not very expensive (cheaper at Walmart than pet stores)
And, just like any person, the kitten needs water too... so yes, its fine to give the milk once or twice a day, but also leave water out throughout the day... its important for them to get water also
Good luck!

Some kittens like cream and do all right. But most cats become lactose intolerant, and that shows up in the litter box. Cow's milk is usually not advised at any time. Once kittens are weaned, they are most likely to become lactose intolerant.
Want to make your own? Here is how:
3 oz condensed milk
3 oz water
4 oz plain yogurt (not low fat)
3 large or 4 small egg yolks - no whites
Even with replacement milk, still provide them with water.

NO it's not. cats can't digest milk normally and will get diarrhea, cramps or vomiting.
kittens especially should not have it because diarrhea can very quickly to dehydration and other health issues.
just give your kitten water and kitten food and it will be fine. if it never has milk it won't know what it's missing.
good luck.

I don't understand why people think that giving a cat milk is ok for them, I know they have milk from there mother when there young but its a completely different milk to what we buy in supermarkets. Giving your cat milk that's not from its mother will give them sickness and diarrhea so if you don't want to clean poo or vomit stained carpets or floors don't give your cat milk.

NOOOOOOOO. Cows milk often gives kittens/cats diarrhea. A kitten with diarrhea can die from dehydration if it gets out of hand. Give your kitten a little canned kitten food, or maybe a little canned cat food(my kittens never liked kitten food)and also leave 1/2 dry food out. You could moisten the dry food with gravy from a can of cat food. But I prefer leaving dry food dry. Most of my cats didn't like it when I moistened their dry food with water or canned food. Feed kitten 2xs day: AM then PM. Always plenty of fresh water available.

it is ok to give a cat milk every now and then, but NEVER give a kitten milk. It can mess up their digestive tract, and they can start throwing up.

If you wish to begin giving him milk, start gradually. The best type of milk is the kind the sell at petstores which is meant for cats. Offer him milk once a day for a week. [one bowl, and when it is finshed fill with water]
Then do it about three times a week. [same technique] And then give him two bowls a day everyday.
His stomach has to get used to regularly drinking milk. It WILL cause his poo to change "texture", but his system will eventually get used to it.
It is ALWAYS good to have water available to him AT LEAST once a day also.
