There are large systems, Global, CBC, Rogers, and they are well-established, but If you are about to move to Canada, you might find it easier to get into a station with which you may have some familiarity . For this, ttry omni tv
OMNI is a multicultural network that specialize in ethnic broadcasting, including south Asian., with stations across much of Canada. They broadcast on two channels in Toronto (CFMT and CJMT) .

Gosh there are so many! The most reputable ones that I know of, or the ones that I immediately think of when it comes to TV channels are CTV, CBC and CityTV. If you're going into news and entertainment, those are the channels I would suggest.
