I was watching a football game with my son a couple of weeks ago. It was just a game of tackling and men trying to force their wills on their enemy men.

It was a good and pure experience, with all sorts of physical action and drama. Men teaching other men. Then it was ruined.

The cheerleading team was leading people to sin over and over. It's sick. You are watching this game of future leaders of our new generation, men who lead other men into battle and understand their leadership role in the world. Other men understand this and love it.

Then these women come into play and tempt all these men and women away from good things. There are cameras out there, and these women who have legs that don't quit run out there and do cartwheels. It's sick! I left at halftime, because I didn't want that kind of stuff in my mind anymore. I can't deal with people who lead me to sin, and Jesus is my tourniquet.

WHy can't these life givers be more modest in their dress. It's driving this nation crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You like it when men in tights and padding tackle/grope each other, but you're disturbed by the sight of cheerleaders in short skirts?

Can you hear echos deep down in the closet you're hiding in? It's probably a well at this point.

How dare you try to tell women what to wear, if you cannot look at them without "temptation" then surely that is a weakness in you?
Men look at me no matter what I wear, ok? However baggy or covered up, I still catch stares. Is that my fault? Oh I suppose it is, isn't it? Silly me for having a voluptuous figure, how careless. This is just how I look, I cant help it unless I would have plastic surgery or something which I never would and none of your business what I wear.
You have got to be joking!
Personally I think football is very homoerotic, especially your American football "men teaching other men" as you say, well what if that tempts someone to commit a sin?
I am not advocating that women wear the short skirts (I dont myself or anything), but I am telling you that if you dont like what someone is wearing you should just look away.
Evil women tempting men? I think not, disgusting men leering at young women and then claiming they asked for it? Sounds more like it to me.

How someone dresses will never please everyone. Some short skirts etc aren't inappropriate at work depending on the job. I'm sure you could get away with wearing a short skirt to if you do it right. On some jobs men can get away with wearing no shirts. Like a life guard or some type of beach job. Unless women are in a specific area and job I doubt they could get away with it.

Wow, I'm not sure about the football thing being so important, other than it's just something you share with your son, and it brings you closer to him. On the other hand, I totally agree with you on the cheerleader thing. I don't know why women have to jump out of every sporting event almost naked and dance around, so men can be tempted to sin. Well, I guess that's how the world is right now. Full of sin and temptation, and it will be until Jesus returns. Good for you for leaving the game! You did the right thing. "If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out."
Frankly, it sickens me, also. You can't turn on the television set anymore without staring some women's monstrous breasts in the face! Yes, it's definetly getting bad!

Actually we should ban football.

All those devilishly handsome men parading around out there flexing their muscles so.. in tighty tight shorts and those tiny little jock straps underneath.... It's enough to make me think naughty thoughts about them... . I think they should be banned.

It's ruining this country by tempting men away from the love of Jesus! It's truly sick how they parade around like that! I can see their pectoral muscles buldging through their shirts!@

The least they could do is wear something loose... a roman toga for example.... but no.. no.. there they stand body parts protruding out through lycra for all the world to see... I just don't want that kind of stiff in my mind anymore ~ they are leading me to sin!

BAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS!

Wow! You're back! This guy is a famous Yahoo troll and not to be taken seriously! Why do you watch football if you feel that way about it? Wait! I just read that part about football players being "future leaders of our new generation, men who lead other men into battle and understand their leadership role in the world." You must be insane! You mean football players like Rae Carruth and Tank Johnson and Michael Vick? What a joke you are!

edit: 2 thumbs down??? What nonsense! Can't you tell by his incoherency that this is a guy whose little hamsters have fallen asleep at the wheel? This has nothing to do with Jesus or Christianity! He's nuts!

Men are lucky women put up with them at all.

Religion as an instrument to deprive women and make them dependant.

The freedom granted to women in Babylonia allowed them to hold and manage their own estates.... The mother here is always represented by a sign which means "goddess of the house."

Landed property developed in the hands of women because women were the first to farm the land, thereby establishing ownership of it.

Christian kings commonly endowed their barons with the phrase, "Take that woman and her fief." The early centuries of the Christian conquest of Europe were largely occupied with acquisition lands from the pagan women.

a man shall "leave his father and his mother, and cleave unto his wife" (Genesis 2:24).

Naomi told her daughters-in-law to "return each to her mother's house" (Ruth 1:8) because houses were owned by mothers, not fathers.

A marriage agreement permitting removal of a woman from her maternal home was a violation of ancient laws. Therefore Abraham, seeking a bride for his son, had to give many gifts to the bride, to her mother, and to her brother (not to her father!) as compensation for taking her away from her home (Genesis 24:53).

Retention of property in the hands of a patrilineal clan was the purpose of the so-called Levirate marriage commanded by the patriarchal God (Deuteronomy 25:5). If a man died, his brother must marry the widow rather than allow her to take her property and depart from the family.

Priests married to gain property, claiming that without their wives they succumb to "hunger and nakedness." Church laws revised the system; then a series of papal decretals between 1031 and 1051 ordered priests to abandon their wives and sell their children into slavery. Naturally, the property and monies thus acquired by a priest revert to the church upon his death, since he no longer had legal heirs.

The legal/ecclesiastical war on female property ownership went on century after century, until women were so hamstrung by the laws of patriarchal God and man that they had almost nothing left that they could call their own.
By the end of the 19th century, English wives could not administer their own property even if they had any, nor make a will disposing of it, without their husbands' consent.
As late as 1930 in France and 1950 in Germany a woman was forbidden to do any business with a bank, not make small deposits, without her husband's permission.

Up to the present time, lack of control over money and property is still the greatest obstacle for women who wish to bring up their children respectably or take them and leave abusive or violent husbands. In this respect the centuries of patriarchal effort achieved their goal.

You must be joking. How can a game of brutality (I enjoy football) lead you closer to Jesus? So, a bunch of dudes in tights aren't leading women to sin? I don't mind staring at some of them. Maybe you are serious..... I guess you have to turn your argument around to see that it doesn't make any sense. Am I being led astray because I watch buff men in tight pants? I don't mind, I guess.

You're a man who likes to watch guys in tights grab and tackle each other, but are disgusted by a pretty cheerleader in a cute outfit?

Sounds like you're a homo in denial.
