Depends on breed and the individual dog. Some go into heat as early as 6 months, some maybe not until 18 months. Smaller breeds are usually sooner, larger can be on the late side because they mature later. Most dogs though will go into heat between 6 months and 1 year.
To give you an example, my lab didn't go into heat until she was 13 months old.

An unspayed, female, dog will go into heat for the first time at six months old and every six months after that, unless she is fixed or she is expecting. Dogs are a lot of fun though, have a great time!!!

it varies but it's usually eight to ten months. That's usually why vets like to spay them around six months.
