My religion is the truth. Why? Because I say so.

What is truth?

Depending upon who you ask today, the question "What is Truth" will get you very different answers and, perhaps, lead to even more questions. Here are some current thoughts on truth:

There is No Absolute Truth.

But wait a minute! This statement is making an absolute claim to truth. It defeats its own claim.

Truth is Relative.

Does that include the statement that truth is relative? It would have to, making this statement invalid since no claim to truth can be made by this statement, including the claim that truth is relative.

You have Your Truth and I have My Truth.

And if your truth and my truth are in conflict, what do we have? Can there be conflicting truths? If so, then how do you determine what is valid? If my truth is that there is no God, and your truth is that there is a God, does that really effect whether there is a God or not? Saying that we each have our own truth may make us comfortable but we would have to not care about truth to say this, because no matter what my experience or your experience tells us, the truth exists as it is.

Truth is within You.

Seek truth within yourself and you are back to what your experience tells you or to what you want to be the truth. Your perception may affect you and be true to what you want to believe, but it does not affect what the truth really is. Your experience and belief could be telling you that something false is true.

So what is Truth?

If you're tired of wondering or of playing these mind games, consider that maybe truth is not all that complex. Maybe it is something a child can grasp. Maybe truth is a person. The God-Man Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Will you be like Pilate, who asked "What is truth?" (John 18:38) right after Jesus said to him, "And I came to bring truth to the world. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true," (John 18:37b)?

Or will you be like the Roman officer who saw Jesus die on the cross and said, "Truly, this was the Son of God!" (Mark 15:39)

As Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, " (John 11:25) and "I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved; and shall go in and out, and find pasture," (John 10:9).

I believe the truth of all truths is that our creator actually wants nothing from us at all. I don't think He/She cares if we're good or bad, happy or sad, alive or dead, obedient or rebellious, generous or greedy. No matter what countless religions say about it, what I have experienced in this life proves it over and over again. God doesn't give a darn what we do, nor does He/She care whether we believe in Him/Her or not.

I think God only focuses on what He/She does best: making and creating things. Once they are created, He/She moves on to the next creation and the fate of the already created things/beings is no longer His/Her concern.

It may sound cold hearted, but who can honestly refute what I just said. Even the Christians have to lean on the whole "free-will" theory to explain why their caring God does nothing about unfair suffering of the innocent that occurs every single day. I think deep down inside, even they know it's rubbish. If God truly cared, then He/She would not be able to sit back and let these things happen. Only completely neutral, uncaring or apathetic folks can sit by and allow suffering to continue (especially if it's long term), no matter what the "purpose" the suffering may serve.

Suffering is never necessary. A truly Omnipotent and CARING God would know that and find a different way to teach us. If I can discipline and teach my children without having to use punishment at all, then it should be easy for an All Powerful God to do the same with His/Her children! He/She is God after all, and gets to make all the rules of this world, be they good, bad or neutral; It's all up to God.

No matter what all the Holy books and Churches say about everything God wants from us and for us, my oppinion is that if the "words" and the "deeds"do not match then the "deeds" have it. Since everyone is aware of the type of world we live in, which God does nothing about, then there isn't much more proof needed than that.

The truth of all truths exist in the Bible. Therefore the true religion would:

- Follow the Bible and believe that it is the word of God.

- Use God's name Jehovah, not delete it from the Bible.

- Believe God's kingdom is the only hope for mankind. The next president certainly won't be able to solve crime, violence, sickness, etc.

- Believe as Revelations says, that only 144,000 go to heaven. For those without the heavenly hope, Psalms 37:29 says that the "righteous would dwell on the earth forever." Remember God's original purpose was for the earth to be perfect and inhabited with perfect people.

- Believe what the Bible says about the condition of the dead, "they are conscious of nothing at all" (Eccl 9:5, 10)

- That we are living in the "last days" of this wicked system of things foretold in Matthew 25, 2 Tim 3:1-5 etc where it speaks of "wars, nations rising against nation, food shortages, earthquakes in one place after another...men would be lovers of themselves, have no natural affection.....

- Follow what Jesus says, to be no part of this world, meaning being neutral politically. God's Kingdom is the only means for accomplishing world peace and security.

- Lives by Bible counsel and does not practice things condemned by God’s Word such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality, drug abuse, drunkenness, lying, or stealing.

-Does not water down the Bible's teachings to fit the modern way of life or "alternative lifestyles"

I'm not sure that anyone could define that... It might have something to do with these truths, however:

We are all the same, in that we are all made of the same stuff... the same stuff as the stars. We're all connected to one another, to all other life (and matter). Harm to another is the same as harm to ourselves.

In as much as energy cannot be destroyed there is no real beginning or end.

Allow each soul to walk their own path.

God is Love.
God is Everything.
God is You and Me.
God is within (so what does that make you?)

The secret to life is to LIVE it.

Life isn't about discovering who you are but creating who you want to be!

At the end of the day, we all go back to the Same Divine Source we all came from so people of different faiths arguing about who has the "inside track" to God are going feel silly when its all said and done.

My honest opinion is that truth is highly subjective, and that's the truth.

That the Universe is the Living Goddess and we are all inseparable parts of Her.

Everything else flows from that for me.
