Ya got it backwards, it says man was made in god's image. That indicates that god must be male. What I want to know is if he is male, does he have a penis (never heard of a male without one) and if he does, what does he use it for? Think on that for a bit.

No. We were created in His image, male and female. God is our Father, or rather, the Father of our spirits. We also have a Mother in Heaven. God is not single, but plural. Thus, God can create male and female in our image. Note the plural pronoun. God is not a mystery. If we are faithful, we shall one day be like Him and have eternal increase as He has. This is a blessing to all, male and female depending upon our faithfulness.

Of course God is genderless. Nevertheless "He" has chosen to reveal "Himself" in the imagery of "Father". Therefore we refer to God using male imagery. But that doesn't mean God is actually male as we understand the term. God become man, Jesus Christ, was of course male in His humanity, which is another reason we refer to God in male terms, but the eternal Word of God who became man 2,000 years ago was not male for all eternity. He took maleness upon Himself when He took humanity upon Himself.

The Bible was written by MEN! LOL, women were thought less of... therefore they chose a male to be their god.

Yes....God is spirit.
If you are referring to the anthropomorphic language of Scripture (God as "father", etc.)...then why not assume that God is a great Big Giant Chicken...because in Psalms it says "under his wings and feathers" God will protect us?

But remember... women weren't important at that time. They were basically property.
