The problem here is not in the transmitter, but the receiver:
"To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good."
Titus 1:15-16

Yes, the bible is utterly obnoxious to any normal rational person. People who claim otherwise either havent read it, are incapable of critical analysis or have decided to invent excuses to cover over the bits they dont like.
How else do you explain the misogyny, support of slavery. brutal mass murder etc etc?
Surely a supreme being would have produced a work of wonder not something that is either plain wrong, total nonsense, utterly obnoxious or irrelevant to todays age.
Its amazing that peoples brains are so addled by religious nonsense that they cant take one look at the bible and recognise it as a work of primitive fiction.

I kind of find it humorous, as I did when I was a christian as well, that people tend to give human emotions and thoughts to something that is not human. If "God" was a supreme being do you really think he would feel emotions like anger, selfishness, empathy, love, hate, or kindness? If you are going to say a being can feel one emotion then that same being can feel any other emotion as well. Doesnt sound supreme to me sounds like a human being pretending to be god. So say you believe that "God" is a supreme being then he would have NO emotions what-so-ever?

Generally a Supreme Being that would ask a father to sacrafice his son to "prove" his loyalty or faith is neither kind, nor merciful, nor loving--has more of a sadistic psychotic flair to it.

No, it doesn't, in my opinion.
You present yourself as being juvenile, however, with this attack on Christian beliefs.

that may be your opinion, but not mine. God is love, kindness, faithful and merciful.
