Real, and mostly caused by us.
This is science and what counts is the data.
"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”
Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)
Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut and the first Commander of the Naval Space Command
Here are two summaries of the mountain of peer reviewed data that convinced Admiral Truly and the vast majority of the scientific community, short and long.

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know... Global warming is almost a no-brainer at this point. You really can't find intelligent, quantitative arguments to make it go away."
Dr. Jerry Mahlman, NOAA

In my opinion, Global warming is most likely happening, but is being exaggerated and used as scare tactics. Another thing is that co2 is one of the least potent green house gases that exists. For example, in an experiment done by myself, a jar was filled with 50% co2 and 50% oxygen. The jar was placed out into the sun for 5 hours during the brightest hours of the day. The temperature in the jar rose four degrees. This is a large increase, but do you know the percentage of co2 in the atmosphere? Its about 0.03%. When the percent is multiplied by the temperature increase in the jar, 4 degrees, it comes out to 0.12 increase in temperature globally. Other gases such as methane, water vapor, sulfur, argon, neon, and crypton are the real killers. Also, humans have probobly only contributed 0.005% of the co2, so by the time the world runs out of oil, temperature will only have gone up 0.2 degrees.

If you want to acquire supply cash for local weather study, do you suppose that you'll be able to get a cheque if you happen to say," I want the supply, as I suppose that I can end up that the figures that the present paradigm is established upon are mistaken" ? The best environmentalist, David Bellamy, has been silenced, and refused airtime. There remains to be no established causative hyperlink among the quantity of Co2 within the surroundings, and an broaden in worldwide temperatures. The WWWF pictures of the polar bears swimming had been taken within the Arctic summer time; whilst the ice cap partly melts, as they could not rise up to picture within the wintry weather. The ice used to be too thick! The East-Anglian uni study figures. "Oh! The figures do not fit our expectancies. Oh good. Keep quiet. Because we all know that we're proper." When the perception, and the religion is extra major than squarely dealing with the reliable doubts of plenty of non supply-supported scientists, technology has been superceded by means of devout zealots. As Oliver Cromwell colourfully mentioned." I pray thee, within the bowels of Christ, don't forget that thou mayest be mistaken."

It's real, but science is saying man doesn't have that much effect.
