You do not need a degree to work at a restaurant or movie theatre, as long as you aren't going for any managerial positions. Simply tell them, if they ask, that you are getting your diploma in December (that's only two months so you are practically there already). Don't worry about it, because I'm sure that you not having a high school diploma will NOT be a deciding factor in whether or not you get the job. Good luck!

get a letter from your institute that you have cleared all tests so far and that your last results are to be declared on the said date.... and that a certificate is to be given out on such a date....
on that date get the certificate and show it to your employer...
if such a letter is not good - ask them what is and that you are probably the best candidate amongst all they are looking at and if they have a genuine question about your academics they can write to or speak to your college or dean or something...
my dean gave me a letter that was accepted, and then i showed my degree when i got it... i dod not flunk or anything... else i would have lost my job...
at a employer like that you just meet their requirements...try to find out what they want from you... and give it to them...
probably they are looking for some body with a clean and continuous education record, get them a letter to that effect...

for that type of job I don't think they'll be too concerned if you graduated. if they ask tell them you're finishing up the coursework and you graduate in Dec.
