1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped fine
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
2-4 apples, sliced
Combine cake mix, pudding, eggs, sour cream and oil. Beat 5 minutes. Pour 1/2 the batter into greased and floured Bundt pan. Arrange 1/2 of the apples, raisins and nuts on batter. Sprinkle with 1/2 of sugar and cinnamon mixture. Pour remaining batter and top with remaining apples, raisins and nuts and sprinkle with remaining sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Test for doneness. Cool in pan for 30 minutes.
when i made the recipe the batter when all was said in done and i was putting it in the pan it looked an felt an tasted like vanilla cake frosting.. now i know why it tasted like vanilla but will my cake come out or does my batter sound to thick? it said to beat for five mins...its in the oven now but i need to make another one for my neighbor..

This cake sounds wonderful! Your batter does not sound too thick. Your neighbor is sure to love it.

Many Bundt cake recipes have a rich, thick batter -- it turns out more like a bread (more dense) than a cake (airy). With the addition of the apples, it should be very moist.

Sounds right, the batter needs to be a little thick to hold the apple slices. Good luck.

The apples make a moisture in the cake as they bake.Sounds like a really good recipe....

Your cake sounds really yummy actually! How about sampling your first finished product to see if you like it and then make the second for your neighbor?
