Like in a rut? For instance, lately I have had no desire to go to my church. I want to know the word of God, and worship Him, most definately! I want my kids also to know Him and walk in His ways--- therefore that is why if we do not go to church that Sunday we do devotions with the kids. There is nothing more important to me than for my kids to know the Lord! And for us to continue walking with Him. So lately I am reminding myself I go to church to LEARN God's word, to worship and praise Him- to study His word- because I truly desire to know Him! I desire to serve Him ( I just need a good kick!) Psalm 86:11
Teach me your way, O LORD,that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.
Do you feel this way at all?

I often desire to go to a NEW church, I should of said that....it is not about not knowing what God is saying-- for I love to learn His word and He does teach me everytime I study it! I just keep reminding myself, the church I go to DOES teach the word, so why am I so reluctant to go? There is just "something" about the church that does not make it feel like "my" church I guess....but I don't want to be that way....

Everyone has their downs. Praise Him in the good times and in the bad times.

I know what you mean. I've had days where I feel spiritually constipated. But it could be the flesh or a couple of the following things -

It's good to be involved with Bible studies and be connected to the Body! But could it be you're burning out? Perhaps you need a break from doing so much and pace yourself. Remember the Christian life isn't a sprint, it's a cross country, long-distance, lifetime marathon. I'm not suggesting quitting but resetting your pace.

It could also be that you've outgrown your church and it's teachings. Pastors and Teachers are at different levels and everyone has a ceiling. Perhaps, it's time to visit another part of the Body. God may be wanting to direct you in a new area because He has somethings He wants to teach you. Perhaps, some new & different "training for reigning."

You can know the word of God without going to Church. Church is a lovely place to be, but it lasts maybe 2 hours. What about the rest of the time? If you want to know the word of God, you can do that simply by reading the Bible, as well as going to Church. I find it easier when I read to the Bible to read certain passages a few times. This way I can completely understand what it means, without necessary taking it in a "literal" sense. There are childrens Bibles that are explained in a different so you can better explain the Bible to them and read it with them. There are also Bible classes in Church that make things especially fun for children, and there are the same classes for adults where they can answer your questions, explain certain things to you, etc. Church is wonderful and I love going, so no I haven't felt that way. I went to vacation Bible school, took the same Bible classes i'm speaking of when I was a child, and there were night activities in the Church gym. Reading the Bible can help you overcome this, as well as prayer.

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" Philippians 3:14.

You don't need to "press toward' something when your going down hill, it will move on its own.

Something else that will help is to pray that God will grant you a love for the truth. Its not our nature to do well this is something we must learn to do, Isaiah 1:17.

"And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved" 2 Thessalonians 2:10.

Thanks so much for sharing, I had to take a second look at your avatar, I thought for a minute I had asked this question so please keep me in your prayers, your in mine.God Bless!
