This is a serious question so please be kind. I went on a date with someone who is extremely nice but looks wise I wasn't attracted to him. He has the face of a chipmunk (not to be mean) but he had like these chubby cheeks and he was a little overweight. I just kept thinking if he lost weight he would look good. But he is so nice I don't want to give up on things based on looks because that is not how I was raised.

That is a wonderful question that you have already answered for yourself in your final statement..."I don't want to give up on things based on looks...". You are right in wanting to continue to get to know this gentleman and find out more of who he is based on his heart and soul. You can find the most attractive men that have very ugly hearts because they know they are handsome.
Give this man a shot. Take your time and don't rush anything. Become friends and see where things go from there based on how you feel once you start to understand him as a person, not an object of beauty.

Personality is everything. If a guy looks good but is a total jerk, he doesn't seem to look as good anymore, same goes for the ugly guy who has an awesome personality. GIve it some time, at least another date, and remember weight can always be lost!

yes you become attracted to their personality which is the best attraction...and on the plus side if he is a lil over weight you wont have to worry so much about hussys trying to steal him from you....dont base everything on looks if everyone did that there would be a lot of lonely people and alot of broken hearted people....give him a chance and if you really want him to lose weight offer him to work out with you oncw in awhile it will be a bonding time and your both doing something productive with yourselves...hope i helped good luck i hope whatever you do your happy

I learned a long time ago not to judge someone by the way they look on the outside, what is important to me is how they are on the inside!! If they aren't beautiful on the inside it doesn't matter how good they look on the outside!!

yes,real beauty comes from the inside!!!!!the most beautiful person can be the meanest,which makes them unattractive.And the ugliest can be the most sweetest person in the world,which makes them much more attractive!!!!!!! I hope this helps
