They can't be read by any receiver. When I convert one to a RTD it corrupts and loses formatting - margins and pages askew etc. I tried converting online to an Adobe PDF but Adobe doesnt recognize Works either. I was going to try to zip it somehow - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The documents are mostly text with some clipart and pictures. Thanks

try this converter to convert work document to word document (.doc format) which you can convert to pdf (if you want).

You can download ms WORDS 2003 viewer to see the converted file

I would suggest you use OpenOffice (ms-office alternate) to edit and save existing files to word format (or .doc format) which is compatible with ms-words program

You can convert your document to from Works to PDF by using Solid PDF Creator.

This is a free download from:http://www.soliddocuments.com/download.htm?product=SolidPDFCreator

Once installed, it acts like a printer driver, so you can choose the option to print your document, then choose Solid PDF creator as your printer and you will have a PDF created that looks like your original.

Why bother?

Try the free, and M$-Office compatible, Open Office from:

Included: Writer (like Word), Calc (Excel), Impress (PowerPoint), Base (Access), Draw (M$-Paint) and Math

Just make sure that if you want others to be able to view the documents using M$-Office Word, for example, save them using "Save as..." in .doc format, instead of the default .odt format.

Or use the built-in PDF creation feature.
