Ive placed the chilie pods in a small plastic bag with the top of the bag open & hung them at my kitchen window, will they dry out ok or will the plastic bag cause fungi to grow on the peppers..the plastic bag is small 4" x 4", wil i need to poke a few holes in the bag or am i doing this wrong?,, please help, i dont want to leave the peppers unprotected as flies may land on them, thank you.

I think is best if you just place them in a tray in a place where sunlight can reach them for a long period of time, preferably without too much humidity. The plastic bag will cause vapour and this will moisten the chilies making them prone to fungi.

And don't worry about the flies. If the chilies are whole, there is no risk of that.

Plastic bags will cause condensation and this can lead to rot. The best way to dry your chillies is in a paper bag as it's dry and away from the window - the changes in temperature won't help. They just need to be away from antwhere where moisture may form, not neccesarily anywhere warm.

Take then out of the plastic bags this will cause them to rot use paper bags or use muslin

I have always just left them on my window sill to dry out, flies dont seem to land on them but if you are really bothered I would hang them in muslin, or a net
