God will take care of you no matter what; even if you were irresponsible at one point. we all have our moments

It's not wrong but you should try to fix your own mistakes. You can't expect God to run your life for you. Humans are meant to learn through trial and error so you are bound to do something irresponsible at least once. Remember humans aren't perfect but that's what makes us perfect.

I'm not sure what your question is. All over the Bible it says that God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble.
John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life."
Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. He rose again on the third day and is at the right hand of God. He will return to earth soon to take His people home to Heaven.
Jesus is the only way to be saved. We accept by faith what He has done for us on the cross. We make Him our Lord and Savior and then He comes to live in our hearts; He will then make us holy.
He will show us our sins, we will let them go, with His constant and ever present help.
No matter what our difficulties are, we have to keep the love of God in our attention; knowing that He is working it out for our good.

Ask and you shall receive. For some people it takes a lot to ask for help, even from god, but if you ask for something, chances are that you will receive, you might not always get what you are asking for, but you will get what you need. Praying is one of the few things that we can be outright selfish with, go ahead and ask for whatever you want! You want a million dollars? Ask for it! You might not get just that, but i promise that god will give you something and you will figure out that it was what you needed all along.

Do what you can for yourself in the way of "Damage Control" and try not to make the same mistakes. God forgives you if you confess your sin to him and ask him to forgive you. One "sin" everyone seems to forget about though, is being too hard on yourself, once it's over. Dont dwell on what you did, that just eats you and keeps you from healing, move on, knowing that God forgave you .

Turning all your trouble to God is his gift to you, he says, give me all your problems and give me all your pain.
you are to turn all your problems to him.
He is offering each and every one of us his gift, the gift of forgiveness of sins.
That gift is open to all who take it.
When we take his gift we then are forgiven for all past and future sins, what we are then to do is try our hardest not to sin and know that when we do, if we repent and remedy our actions, we are already forgiven. The reason we must repent and remedy our actions is that God knows if you really accept him or not.
It is RIGHT.
I pray, probably daily, the simple "God help me, I know I can't do this alone"

Matthew 19:26

Jesus looked at them and said, “With human beings this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

I too was once irresponsible, I think everyone is, and if they say they aren't they are lying.
We all have our moments, even with God, all we need to do is look to him, and say, "God take me, I want you to help me, I need you."
Just admitt you need him and want him, and he will give you all the help he has been offering all along.

Good luck on your journey,

Jessica

By the way, turning to God does NOT mean you don't have to do anything, you must work hard, but with God.

That's right. That's the mercy of God. It's bigger, and His forgiveness is greater than we can imagine.

There is a passage (Deuteronomy?) that say if someone does evil, and turns away from his evil, God will look kindly on him. This is contrasted with someone who does good, then turns away to do evil, will be subject to judgment.

There are always consequences for our sins,
but when you truly repent and turn from your sin God will and does turn the mess you have made in your life to a message of hope and forgiveness and healing. That is the mercy and glory of God, who turns the worst of us sinners into new creations when He breathes His life into us.
You are lifted up in my prayers may the promise of new life and a new beginning be manifested in your life. Trust in Him and ask for mercy for He is our mercy, our light and our hope.
Shalom

No, that's what we call a "cop out", do some real world penance for your wrong doings. If you were a brat of a kid, find a social project that tries to help kids in your area and help out. Then when you've done some good, you'll feel a hole lot better about yourself than just asking for a get out of jail free card.

What will God be able to do about it?
We've all done things we regret... we don't need some fairy tale character to forgive us. If you hurt somebody, then ask them for forgiveness not God. And if you're in trouble, turn to friends, family, people who can actually make a difference... not God.
For He doth not existeth.

I wish you luck in sorting out your troubles, but don't leave it int he hands of god, because you'll only be disappointed when He doesn't respond.

Believe me I've been there.
