I entered the dining area ravenous, ready to eat anything! As I picked up my cutlery to begin devouring every savory morsel on my plate, I then picked up on the pungent smell come from the stew that was simmering on the stove. What a culinary delight! I needed to quaff a perfect drink to compliment this perfect meal. As I brought the food to my lips and let it hit my taste buds, I was immediately disappointed with the bland taste that hit my watering mouth.

When Grandma comes to our house to prepare the family's
Thanksgiving dinner, we all know we're in for a savory, culinary treat. There will be no bland, ordinary food in this house that day. I, personally, don't eat all day until the meal is fully prepared. I enjoy smelling the savory dishes she will slowly simmer on the stove. The aroma will quaff throughout the house. I can hear her working hard using every pot, pan, utensil and piece of cutlery to make each dish perfectly. There will be no pungent smells here. Then, finally when it's time to eat, I'm ravenous. And, I sit down and devour every morsel. Grandma is the best cook ever. Happy Thanksgiving!

I am ravenous for a savory morsel of roast beef and mashed potatoes. I could absolutely devour such a meal. It is so pungent I can smell it now. The beef should be simmered in its juice for at least an hour, to ensure that it won't be bland. I will need cutlery so as to eat it as a civil person would, and will not quaff the juice from the roast beef...tempting though it may be. I don't think there could be anything better in the culinary world :)

The bland in the culinary went to the cutlery. Talked to the devour, made out with the morsel, pushed pungent off of the quaff and ran away while ravenous savory got slimmer

The chef had just started to simmer a bland broth with great plans in mind. When he worked his magic there was a savory , pungent fragence that left you ravenous, it smelled good enough to quaff down immediately.Then the cutlery appeared and our culinary genius chopped morsels of succulent meat for the broth to finish the meal we were ready to devour..

George went to the Kentucky School of Culinary arts where he learned to make savory meals. His food was always delicious, it took all the control we could muster not to devour every morsel inside of five minutes. Last week while George let his famous chicken soup simmer he tried to keep our minds off our ravenous appetities with some card tricks. It was no use however as we started banging our cutlery on the table. We all began laughing but our smiles turned to frowns as we detected something pungent in the air. One of George's assistants chose to quaff something when he should have let it be.
Ok - that's not a great effort - but it's the best I could do in less than five minutes.

The thing about being ravenous you want to devour every morsel. If the culinary expertise only produces a bland dish then you tend to leave the cutlery in the drawer, however if you simmer everything perfectly you are left with a savory pungent dish that you can quaff the perfect glass of wine with.
