Most Catholic priests understand the term far better than you or I.

Yes there is the passing exception of a very few wolves who've gotten in with the sheep (which happens with protestant ministers and boyscout leaders too.)

But most Catholic priests are men who've lived an entire life of "no." They've given up the comfort of ever having or finding anyone to share their life with, all so that their life can be shared more fully with God's life, and the lives of his people.

Can you say, "No" to that extent? Do you have it in you to live your life - all of it - without ever having a relationship?

When you can do that much, then perhaps judge. It would be best not to until such time.

Plenty of people don't understand that "no means no". Why pick on Catholic priests?

The few priests who have committed sexual crimes apparently don't - just like the few Protestant ministers and Jewish rabbis (almost identical percentages) who have committed similar crimes. Incidentally, the percentage for each of these groups is just about the same as the percentage you would find in any group of men - about 1%.
