What was happening to the people in Africa, the Americas, Asia? Christians say that their religion is the true religion why is there no mention of these people? Did God not speak to them as he did to the people of the middle east? Or was it because Constantine and the counsil of Niscea had no knowledge of them to include in their book?

I am aware that the people in the bible lived there. MY question is, if Christianity is the one true religion why were these other people not in on it as well.

The bible does have a setting. Babylon, Jerusalem, Egypt, Nazareth etc All places in the middle East

Not where the apostles went people, why did God not speak these people HIMSELF? WHY JUST THE PEOPLE IN THIS AREA? Tell me one Bible story from Mexico or Russia or England or one that involves a Native American. This was the question. It's apparent that Christianity spread.

book worm- if you read you would see I did mention Egypt several times. The bible however makes no mention of the tribes of Africa. Did God not know of the existance of the Native Americans or Aztecs or Mayans? That was my question. Where was God for these people? Why is he solely based in this are of the middle east? As far as the bible not being a novel, well thats your opinion. I didn't ask for opinions I asked for a fact based answer. If the bible is true and christianity is the one true religion why aren't these people mentioned as having encounters with God and Angels as well? Surely, God "the creator of all people and earth" didn't only make appearances to the people of fore mentioned area and not people on the other side of the world.

Where's your proof that John wrote the book his name is on or Matthew? I'm asking for FACTS. thank you for your cooperation.

Your question is great and there may be people based on rational thought who are also devout Christians. You may be able to find some with this approach. Most theologians take a view of metaphor and allegory when they speak of biblical passages.

You could probably save yourself some frustration by remembering that literal devotion of a fundie is based on fears and need, rather than thought and understanding.

"Set" in the Middle East? It's not a novel. LMAO

The Bible is a collection of books written in mostly in Hebrew by several Jews, who were in the Middle East because that's where the Jews lived.

The Americas had yet to be discovered, but historians have proven the existence of Native American tribes on both N and S America during these times.

Africa--there are many passages in the Bible that mention Egypt, which is on the continent of Africa.

Asia--Where do you think the Middle East is? The moon?

Europe--Greece and Rome are mentioned several times in the Bible.

Constantine was actually a well educated man for those times, and he did know about these places (except the Americas, because they had not been discovered yet), in fact, there is historical evidence that he had travelled throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa.

The Bible is actually 66 different books and was written by many different people (all Middle Eastern/Jewish), *not* by Constantine and the Nicene Council. They just decided which books to include in the Bible. There are several books that were originally part of the Bible but were removed. These are called The Gnostic Scriptures or the Apocrypha.

Learn some history and geography.

The Bible is about the Lord Jesus (and the Jews too...). Jesus lived in the Middle East. He didn't travel to Africa or Asia. The Jews also lived in the Middle East.

Jesus told his disciples to go into the uttermost parts of the earth and tell others about Him. And they did! Thomas, I believe, went down into Northern Africa. Others went to Asia. Some went throughout Europe. The ancient world was turned upside down by these men and women.

PS - the Catholic Bible was the one made up by Constantine and his council and Origen. The real Bible - the one used by the persecuted church throughout the middle ages - was inspired by God. It isn't a history book so much as it is a book telling about how God moved among His people.

Good question.

The Old Testament is not very accurate; much of it was rewritten to make the Jews the only "chosen people". Jesus Christ did send his Assistant Gabriel to come to earth about 7-8 BC and find the best place to have Jesus Incarnate. Palestine -Jerusalem area was chosen as being the best with world trade routes mixing many people there.

Jesus clearly said that in His Kingdom of Heaven in Heaven and now here at hand, there would be no Jew, no Gentile, etc as all humans are now EQUALLY Divinely Beloved sons of God in Jesus our Universe Creator Father-Son-Spirit !

Yes, this was too much for the narrow-minded, selfish pharisees and sadducees, so even the later Christianized Jewish Apostles and Disciples of Jesus left out ALL of Jesus' many travels during his ages 12-30 ! He went to Rome, Greece, India and other places, not into the Americas then, not directly to the red man, not directly to the yellow man in China. Later Disciples and Ambassadors of the Living Jesus did that and still do.

Today, and since May 18, AD30 (at Pentecost) and forevermore, our Sovereign Maker Jesus Christ is fully here as HE the Spirit of ALL Truth; as GOD ! See and believe John 16:7-16. All fully True, Beautiful and Good ! Jesus is
now lovingly and freely down-pouring Himself upon all flesh ! Sooner or later, every living human here will acknowledge Him as our Everlasting and Almighty Father God ! and more ! Forever unfolding to us in ever larger "doses" of reality.

Today, there is also a mighty Epochal Revelation of Truth, with the fuller supernal Life and Teachings of Jesus in the last 1/3 of a nearly 2100 page tome. This came to a few in Chicago around AD1935 and now is in millions of copies in 10-12 major languages; 60 languages planned soon. This will slowly help bring this planet and all sincere peoples into more sacred realizations of God's Light and Life Eternal !

For the same reason the Quran is set only in Saudi Arabia.

That is where it begun, and from there it moved to others places. The Bible, and the Quran.

Edit:
Dear, the Bible is not just about Christians or Christianity. It is about many many more. Also, the Bible didn't start with Christians. The Jews use it as well. OT, before Jesus, NT during Jesus.
How about Rome! It is in the Bible as well. The Romain, the Greek, Ethiopian etc. Many more nations have been mentioned in the Bible.

Can you show us any stories in the Quran from Mexico, Russia or England! No you can't!!
You see dear, It is because that where it all started.

This is evidence that Elohim was a tribal war god, and as such, was limited to a very small area of the world. All the violence you see mentioned in the OT, was merely tribal warfare engaged in to shove that tribal god down the throat of other peoples.

Because that is where the people of the Bible lived. The Gospel is spread through Christians and NO Jesus didn't go to other continents to spread his word like the Mormons say.

Actually, with all due respect, it isn't set only in the middle east. Paul went to Rome and his missionary tours took him all over Asia Minor.

The problem with Religion is that is is largely geographical in nature, and it assumes that the Gods didn't know or care about other people in the world.

Seems that the current popular Gods, cared only for the middle east for thousands of years until the Romans adopted their belief system.

Is it any wonder why the Middle East is so violent?
