sounds like a mild allergic reaction to me also. I was stung twelve times one year by wasps the last time I ended up in the hospital my throat was closing and whole body welted had never had more than a mild reaction to stings until that time. Drs said that it builds up in the system and that if I was stung one more time I could be in even worse trouble...so ever after carried an epipen with me. I did get stung by a regular bee after that (probably 5 years) and had no reaction at all.

You may be having a mild allergic reaction, since it is itching. Benadryl is good for that.

Being stung 4 times is bad, I bet it did swell. Also, if the sting is close to a joint then the joint will often swell.

If you have any shortness of breath, that is a severe reaction, and you must go immediately to the emergency department. People with reactions like this need to carry epinephrine injection with them, at least 2 doses.

That sounds like a normal reaction to me. It may take 10 days or so for a bee sting to go away. The last time I was stung, I ran a fever for four days. Is the swollen area bigger than the palm of your hand?
