Prescription medications legally prescribed for you don't count against you. However you should always list them on the paperwork that asks you to name the medicines you're currently taking when you sign in for the test. For example you'd list the type of antibiotic (penicillin, amoxycillin, etc.) and if you're taking a pain reliever like Aspirin, Tylenol, Aleve, etc., you'd also list that as well. If you're treated for chronic conditions where you take medication to manage them, you'd also include them in the list too.

Drug tests don't check for antibiotics because employers and law enforcement don't care if you're on antibiotics so they don't bother checking. They won't know you're on antibiotics unless you tell them.

Now if you were on a narcotic pain medication for the pain - like Vicodin or Percocet or Darvocet or Tylenol with codiene, that would likely show up. Straight Tylenol or ibuprofen, however, would not - again, because employers and law enforcement don't care if you're taking straight Tylenol or ibuprofen so they don't bother checking for them.
