I am a newly commissioned Officer in the US Army Reserves. I received a direct commission and I hardly have any military experience. My recruiter said I can go to any ID card place to get my ID, but what is the name of the ID card place? Deers? Newcomers officer?? I don't know. Please help. Thank you

Thank you. I was a direct commission. All I have done so far is swear in and signed a few papers. Doctors and other medical professionals get direct commission. We receieve our military training after we get our commission.

When are you scheduled for Officer Basic or Orientation?

Where is the Officer Training for your MOS?

As a last resort contact the nearest military Post/Base for Information!

The office is on base and in the Airforce, its called the MPF (Military Personnel Flight). I am sure the Army terminology is pretty similar. If you have a base phone book, I am sure it will be listed in there. I am a little confused...if you are newly commissioned, why don't you ALREADY have an ID card???
BTW, DEERS is the system that the personnelists use to input information on each person assigned to that base / and or the service.

Go to your local DEERS office.. That is where they make all the id cards... Also ask your commander if there is a special place... I am really surprised you don't already have one!

This is a joke right? Legitimate and official military ID cards come from the U.S. Government. There is a place on a inlitary installation which does this.

Welcome to the profession of arms!

Use this site. It allows you to find the nearest RAPIDS site to any location you designate. RAPIDS is the ID card issuing system.
